what our students say

Marcelo Murillo Smith
Urban Planning and Design BA Honours - 2024
Studying at Westminster allowed me to see the built environment through a completely new lens. London offers experiences that no other city can, from diverse communities shaping their neighbourhoods to historic buildings sitting side by side with cutting-edge architecture that influences global design.

Salma Hersi
Architecture BA - 2027
The collaborative studio culture, access to workshops and model-making facilities, and opportunities to work on real-world inspired briefs have all been invaluable in building my confidence as a designer.
Maryam Khurram
International Planning and Sustainable Development MA - 2023
Throughout my studies, the academic support has been outstanding. The classroom atmosphere was consistently friendly, and the tutors were approachable and supportive.
Site Diary Module
A collaboration between the School of Architecture and Cities and the Westminster Centre for Education and Teaching Innovation, the Site Diary module offers our second-year architecture students the opportunity to gain real-world experience by engaging directly with live construction sites in London. Rather than staying within university studios, students independently contact architectural practices and shadow professionals, observing the transition from design to construction. The module helps students understand the practical, day-to-day aspects of being an architect, build professional relationships, and bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice, preparing them for working in architecture firms after graduation.
