- You are currently taking a placement year and will need to extend your Tier 4 visa to complete your final year. In this instance you will need to return to your home country to make this application
- You have a visa for a 3 year course and need to repeat the first or second year of your course because you need to retrieve modules. You may need to return to your home country before the start of your final year to apply for a new visa to complete your course
