The University of Westminster’s Africa Media Centre promotes collaborative research on African film, media, communication and social change, and often hosts conferences and guest lectures in London. The centre organised several events last year, including the African Film and Politics Conference, African Film and Social Change, Media and Elections in Africa Conference, and Documenting Africa: Creating Fact or Fiction through the Lens.

Student and alumni Community

Nigerian students at Westminster actively engage in various extracurricular events and activities throughout the year, including sports clubs and societies. The list of prominent alumni in Nigeria includes Mo Abudu, a well-known media personality, producer and entrepreneur, and Don Omope, a Television Production BA Honours graduate and producer of the romantic comedy The Wedding Party, the highest-grossing film of all time in Nigeria.
