Information compliance, records management and information security

A variety of regulations now govern what types of information the University of Westminster can collect. These regulations also prescribe how the University should use information, how the University should keep it and who the University should share it with.

Increased regulation has ushered in new rights for the public and new responsibilities for the University. Inevitably this has implications for the University's working practices and record keeping procedures.

The Information Compliance Team can help with advice and guidance on Freedom of Information and personal data protection including the new General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, ensuring the University meets its obligations in these areas, and delivers a high level of service in relation to information requests.
