Entry Requirements

Applying for a course

If you are interested in studying for a Bachelor's degree (eg a BA, BSc, BEng or LLB) at the University of Westminster, you will need to check that you meet our entry requirements.

We have included typical entry requirements below, but these are simply a guideline. Some courses may also have specific subject or grade requirements, which will be listed on individual course pages.

For entry to Year 1 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 4), you will typically need to have one of the following:

  • successful completion of 1 year at a recognised university in Cambodia with a minimum GPA of 2.8 or above depending on the subject area and institution attended

  • a recognised International Foundation course from a UK institution or a Cambodian institution following a validated UK syllabus. Entry requirements vary but we normally ask for between 60% and 65%

  • A Levels or International Baccalaureate (see course pages for details)

To be considered for entry to Year 2 of Bachelor's degrees (Level 5), you will typically need to have the following:

  • an Associate degree from a recognised higher education institution

Our partner college, Kaplan International College London, offers a Foundation Certificate leading to entry to a broad range of our Bachelor's degrees.

The English language requirements for our courses are provided on individual course pages as minimum IELTS scores.

For information about equivalent English language qualifications that are accepted by the University, please visit our English language requirements page.

Applying for a course

If you are interested in studying for a Master's degree (eg MA, MSc or LLM) or research programme (eg MPhil or PhD) at the University of Westminster, you will need to check that you meet our entry requirements.

You will typically need to have one of the following:

  • a relevant 4-year Bachelor's degree from a recognised higher education institution

  • Students applying for graduate courses requiring a UK Lower Second Class (2:2) degree will need a four year degree with a final GPA of 2.8

  • Students applying for graduate courses requiring a UK Upper Second Class (2:1) degree will need a four year degree with a final GPA of 3.2
