Your invitation and tickets

You will receive your Graduation Ceremony invitation by email at your University email account. Once you receive this email, you will be able to book your place and purchase any guest tickets you require.

How to book.

Eligibility to attend a ceremony

You will be eligible to attend a graduation ceremony as long as your award is conferred by the date published in your invitation. If your award is not conferred, for any reason, you will not be able to attend the ceremony. You will be invited to the next appropriate ceremony.

Ceremonies 2018

Autumn ceremonies

Our autumn ceremonies are for all undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree students who have their degrees awarded between July 2018 and October 2018.

Invitations for the November 2018 ceremonies will be sent to your university email account by the end of September 2018.

November 2018

The ceremonies will take place on the following dates. If you are uncertain which college and school your course falls under, you can check the ceremony allocation list. 

Monday 12 November

Schools within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences:

  • 10am - School of Social Sciences, Westminster Law School
  • 12.30pm - School of Humanities,  School of Life Sciences

Schools within the College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries:

  • 3pm - Westminster School of Arts, Westminster School of Media and Communication

Monday 26 November

Schools within the College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries:

  • 10am - School of Architecture and Cities, School of Computer Science and Engineering

Schools within Westminster Business School:

  • 12.30pm - School of Finance and Accounting, School of Management and Marketing
  • 3pm - School of Organisations, Economy and Society, School of Applied Management

The ceremonies will take place at the Royal Festival Hall.

Ceremonies 2019

Summer ceremonies

Our summer ceremonies, in July, are for all undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree students who have their degrees awarded between November 2018 and June 2019.

You'll receive a ceremony invitation in your university email account by the end of April 2019.

July 2019

The ceremonies will take place on the following dates, with more details to follow:

  • Monday 8 July
  • Tuesday 9 July
  • Wednesday 10 July

Autumn ceremonies

Our autumn 2019 ceremonies are for all undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree students who have their degrees awarded between July 2019 and October 2019.

Invitations for the November 2019 ceremonies will be sent to your university email account by the middle of September 2019.

November 2019

The ceremonies will take place on the following dates, with more details to follow:

  • Monday 11 November
  • Monday 25 November

The ceremonies will take place at the Royal Festival Hall.

On our web pages, you'll find all the information you need to prepare for your presentation ceremony, and will also find details of when you'll receive your award certificate.

If you're unable to find the answer to your question online or you need further guidance, feel free to contact us.

Special requirements

Both of our venues are fully accessible with spaces available for wheelchair users.

If you or your guests require a space for a wheelchair or have other special requirements, please indicate this when booking your tickets, as wheelchair seating is limited. A member of the ceremonies team will then contact you if necessary.

Visa support

We can provide you with a letter, which can be used in support of a visa application/extension for you or your guests.

Please email your request to [email protected] no later than a month before the date of your ceremony.

Before we will send your letter, you will need to have booked for your ceremony and paid for any guest tickets. Please note we cannot name individual guests in this letter.

The letter will be emailed to you as a PDF document, a hard copy can be provided on request. Please note requests may take up to three working days to process.
