- ACM Digital Library - Over 100 e-journals and conference proceedings about computing, published by the Association for Computing Machinery.
- Cambridge University Press Journals - Around 400 journals covering mathematics, physical sciences, environment and conservation, agriculture, neuroscience and biomedicine, history, area studies, language and linguistics, and political science and international relations
- Emerald Insight - Over 150 full text peer reviewed management journals.
- IEEE Xplore - Over 3 million documents from IEEE/IET Electronic Library, including transactions, journals, conference proceedings, standards; IBM Journal of Research and Development and VDE VERLAG Conference Proceedings, plus over 1,500 E-books from IEEE-Wiley, MIT Press and Morgan& Claypool (C6). Covers topics in electrical and electronics engineering, computer science, biomedical engineering, medical imaging and other technology-related fields.
- Oxford University Press Journals - Full-text of journals published by Oxford University Press. Subjects include biomedical sciences, humanities, law, mathematics and social sciences
- Sage Journals Online - Over 1200 social science journals from Sage.
- Science Direct - Over 2000 e-journals published by Elsevier. The primary focus is on science, but it also includes many journals in other subject areas.
- SpringerLink - Full-text access to 2000+ e-journals covering biosciences, computer science, engineering, business and economics, and humanities and social sciences.
- Wiley - E-journals and e-books published by Wiley, covering life, health and physical sciences, social science, and the humanities
All the resources listed below are available for self-study and professional development and should not be used for teaching purposes.
- Partners who have a Microsoft license agreement can apply to Azure Dev Tools (choose ‘Order’) for their faculty members and students.
This includes 73 software including SQL server, machine learning, visual studio, R, Azure DevOps, DataZen, Project, Visio, Access, Windows server, Windows 11.
This is only for the use of academic colleagues and students and cannot be used to deliver corporate IT systems.
Partners’ academic colleagues and students can also download the software from their UoW subscription using the above link, via their @westminster.ac.uk identity (choose ‘Sign in’ and then ‘Software).
- Microsoft 365 - can be downloaded by colleagues and students on their personal devices. Our extended licence enables students to use OneDrive and download Microsoft 365 for free on multiple devices, as outlined on the Microsoft Office 365 access page. Please note that the UoW will be introducing storage restrictions for the Microsoft platform in the near future.
- MATLAB from Mathworks - is available for download by our partners on their personal devices. This remains valid for the duration of the studies/contract.Users need to use their @westminster.ac.uk identity when registering with MathWorks to activate MATLAB
- Software packages available under academic license (free or at a highly discounted rate) for which partner institution can apply for directly with the vendors (subject to terms and conditions):

- Access to Blackboard and the tools that are directly part of the Blackboard system are available for UoW partners to use. Any third party products that integrate with Blackboard (eg Turnitin and Panopto) are not available.
Additional software may be available to our partners, subject to clarifying the requirements. Applications available via AppsAnywhere that are not listed above should not be used without checking with the UoW as there might be restrictions.
