New to the UK in January 2024

Moving to a university in another country can be both exciting and daunting. The University of Westminster organises a day of activities for students new to the UK and arriving to start University in January 2024.

We will help you meet new people and introduce you to living and studying in the UK.

There will be workshops and presentations with useful information such as living in London, keeping safe, working in the UK during and after your studies, and accessing the National Health Service. We hope to provide some guided tours around the centre of London.

Who are the New to the UK Sessions for?

The New to the UK sessions are for international students who are new to the UK and are due to start a degree in January 2024.

If you are an international student and have been in the UK for some time, you are also welcome to join, as you might like to meet other international students and receive a recap on the key information.

This programme of activities is not for Education Abroad students or Exchange students that are here for one semester or one year. You will have your own orientation programme organised by the Education Abroad unit.

When and where will the New to the UK Sessions be held?

The New to the UK Sessions will be held on Monday 15 January at our Marylebone Campus
