University of Westminster representatives will be at Heathrow airport before the start of term to meet arriving international students and help them travel to their University accommodation. There will be a free bus service or taxi service for students staying in University halls of residence.
To take advantage of the service, you'll need to sign up for it in advance. Booking information will be available in the summer.
If you will not be using the Heathrow Meet and Greet service, visit our Travelling from the airport page for tips on how to get to central London when you arrive.
We recommend that you:
How can I book to be met at Heathrow Airport?
Booking information will be available in the summer.
For students starting their course in September The Meet and Greet is most likely to be running on the 8, 9, 15 September 2018 from Heathrow Airport between 8am and 6pm. Confirmation of this and the booking form will be available at the end of June 2018.
Students arriving early for Pre-sessional English Language courses will be contacted separately with Meet and Greet arrangements.
How long will the trip to your hall of residence take?
The University will be picking up students at different times and not all students will be travelling to the same halls of residence. You will have to wait at the airport for a coach or taxi to leave and could be travelling to a few halls of residence so could have a longer than average journey.
We thoroughly recommend that you attend the International Student Welcome Programme where you will meet other new international students, have many of your questions answered and explore London. You will also be able to enrol for your course early. See the website for more details and to book your place.
How much baggage can I bring?
You can bring 2 bags of 20kg. If you bring more (including lots of hand luggage) then we may not be able to fit you into your designated taxi/coach and we will help you order your own taxi, which you will need to pay for.
