Award documents: 1994 to May 2022

If you were awarded between 1994 and May 2022, find out how to request replacement or additional award documents.

How it works

If your award was confirmed before June 2022, you can order replacement documents via our online store and choose to have them sent by email, post or both. Costs are subject to review.

If you're a third party, like an employer or organisation, you'll need to email us with the student's consent, alongside ordering the relevant documents via our online store.

If you're unsure whether we can fulfil your request, contact us via the Student Centre live chat.

Costs

You can order the following documents in hard copy format by email, post or both:

  • Certificate: £40 – ordering a replacement will invalidate any previous certificate
  • Certified certificate: £10
  • Transcript: £10
  • Confirmation of Award letter: £10
  • Transcript and Award letter bundle: £15

Please note that these costs are subject to review.

Delivery

  • Delivery to the UK takes up to two weeks
  • Overseas delivery takes 2–4 weeks

It may take longer to process your order at busy times such as graduation or enrolment.

Key limitations

We can’t process your order if:

  • we’re unable to locate your record or verify your identity
  • there's a finance hold due to unpaid course fees on your account. You’ll need to resolve the hold first via the Student Centre live chat
  • a third party placing an order on your behalf didn’t provide sufficient proof of consent. See the third-party orders section below

Placing your order

If you have multiple awards from the University, you’ll need to order one document per award.

Please include any relevant details in the ‘Special requests’ field when placing your order.

If you’re unsure whether your special request can be fulfilled, contact us before you place your order – via the Student Centre live chat.

Third-party orders

If you're a third-party organisation ordering documents on a former student's behalf, you'll need to obtain their consent to comply with the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

The former student should provide you with a letter or email dated within the last three months of your request. It should include:

  • confirmation that you are the third party
  • a hand-written or verifiable electronic (marked with timestamp/IP address) signature
  • explicit authorisation of the release of educational information to the named third-party organisation

Please attach this as a separate document (forwarded emails or screenshots are not sufficient) and email it to .
