Finalists
Christiana Asala
Global Public Health Nutrition MSc, 2023
Christiana has delivered outstanding contributions across global public health, accountability, and nutrition sectors. As a Consultant for the Accountability Research Centre at American University, she led research on government-led accountability programmes in Nigeria. She managed study design, field research, and data analysis, influencing national accountability conversations through policy papers.
Alongside, Christiana served as Executive Director at The Cognito Project, advancing learning for over 43 civil society organisations and leading a school-based nutrition programme. Her consultancy work included contributing to JHPIEGO’s assessment of Nigeria’s Quality of Care Strategy and facilitating regional strategic development for African Activists for Climate Justice.
She also played a central role in the White Ribbon Alliance’s global campaign, “Midwives' Voices, Midwives' Demands”, which has shaped maternal health advocacy globally.
In recognition of her expertise, Christiana was appointed to the Scientific Advisory Committee of the World Public Health Nutrition Conference and the Global Self-Care Learning and Discovery Series.
Haodong Wang
Audio Production MA, 2023
Haodong Wang is an award-winning composer, producer, and audio engineer whose work spans music, media, and performance art. He has created original scores for brands including Gucci, Pepsi, MINI, and Pizza Hut, and his innovative contributions to commercial music have been recognised through the prestigious Digitaling Awards, one of the highest honours in China’s media industry. In 2024, Haodong released his debut solo album, 0-121, a project where he wrote the lyrics, composed the music, mixed the tracks, and designed the overall concept independently, showcasing his multidisciplinary artistic vision.
His passion for storytelling through sound extends into theatre; he composed and designed music for the immersive production Saints, which has been shortlisted for the 2025 World Stage Design. Haodong is also an audio engineer at Monocle Radio in London, where he oversees music design, sound editing, and mixing for a variety of international podcasts and live shows.
Liliia Kuzik
Sustainability Management and Innovation MSc, 2023
After graduating, Liliia Kuzik returned to Ukraine. She resumed her work with Hair for Share, a social charity helping children with cancer, where she is a co-founder, dedicating herself to elevating its operations and expanding community outreach.
Recognizing the urgent need for support amidst the war in Ukraine, Liliia also re-engaged with consulting Ukrainian businesses. She provides critical guidance to firms with robust social and environmental goals, empowering them to overcome the challenges of operating in crisis conditions.
Liliia launched a podcast with two friends dedicated to sustainable business practices. Since December 2024, this platform has educated and equipped local enterprises with the tools they need to rebuild stronger, focusing on fostering sustainable processes, social projects, and innovative strategies.
They have produced ten engaging episodes, supported by the British Government’s prestigious programme for outstanding Chevening Scholarship alumni.
Sayuri Ichida
Photography Arts MA, 2022
Sayuri Ichida is a Japanese visual artist and photographer based in the UK. Her practice explores themes of identity, memory, and the emotional undercurrents of human experience through a tactile, poetic visual language that combines analogue and digital processes.
Since graduating, Sayuri has received significant recognition, including the Jerwood/Photoworks Awards 5 in 2024 and a Develop Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England in 2023. In 2025, she held a solo exhibition at the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation. In 2026, she will present a touring exhibition at four UK galleries as part of the Jerwood/Photoworks Awards, addressing Japan’s ongoing depopulation issue.
Her work has been featured internationally at Unseen Amsterdam, Art Paris, and Paris Photo with IBASHO Gallery. In 2023, she was selected for the prestigious Light Work Artist-in-Residence Program in New York. Her photobook has been exhibited at the Princeton University Art Museum.
