Westminster Partnership and Impact Awards

The Westminster Partnership and Impact Awards are a celebration of the contribution our alumni and industry volunteers make to the Westminster community.

Through their contributions as speakers, mentors, hosts and ambassadors, our alumni and industry partners empower current students and recent graduates with the insight, confidence and opportunities they need to fulfil their potential.

The winners are announced and celebrated annually across our social media channels. Nominations are received internally from University of Westminster staff members.

These awards build on and replace the former Westminster Alumni Volunteering Awards, expanding the recognition to include external partners as well as alumni.

Categories

The Awards include six categories, reflecting the breadth of volunteering opportunities at Westminster and the range of ways our alumni get involved.

The categories are:

  • Long Serving Volunteer Award: For alumni or industry volunteers recognised for their ongoing support of students or recent graduates and their significant contribution over a number of years.
  • Guest Speaker of the Year Award: For alumni or industry volunteers who have delivered an outstanding presentation, lecture, workshop or panel discussion to students, colleagues or alumni.
  • Outstanding Support for Students and Graduates Award: For alumni or industry volunteers who go above and beyond to provide professional development support to students and recent graduates, through either one-to-one or group sessions.
  • Experience Provider Award: For outstanding industry or alumni partners who inspire students through high-impact, real-world experiences such as live challenges or mock assessment centres, bringing learning to life.
  • Local Community Partner Award: For local organisations or industry partners near the University of Westminster who work in partnership with us to strengthen our community connections and create meaningful opportunities for students.
  • Chancellor’s Award for Impact: For a member of our Chancellor's Circle – a group of organisations who support students across a range of career programmes every year.
