Westminster Sanctuary Postgraduate Scholarship

The University will be allocating one Postgraduate Sanctuary Scholarship in total in 2022/23. The scholarship is provided to support students who have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain or Discretionary Leave to Remain by the home office. The selection is based on financial need and the merit of the application.

Amount

One scholarship is available. Full tuition fee waiver and £6,000 towards maintenance costs up to a maximum of 1 year. Students on part-time courses will receive £3000 towards maintenance costs per year, maximum of 2 years.

Eligibility

Students must fulfil all criteria below:

  • You must have an offer from the University of Westminster for a place on a full-time or part-time master’s course starting in September 2022. 
  • You must have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or Discretionary Leave to Remain (DLR) by the Home Office; this must be the sole reason why you do not qualify for student funding or home fee status.  
  • You must be under 25 years of age when you begin your degree. 
  • You must currently be living in the UK. 
  • You are not eligible to apply if you already have a Master’s degree.
