International 2027 early acceptance award – January 2027

Are you an international student joining us in January 2027? You could qualify for a £3,000 award.

Making the decision to study overseas is an important investment in your future. To help support your preparations and give you greater confidence as you plan your move to the UK, we are delighted to offer a £3,000 Award to students who confirm their place by paying their deposit before the applicable deadline.

This £3,000 one-off scholarship is available to international postgraduate taught applicants joining the University for the first time on the UK campus in January 2027. The award is applied to tuition fees and is not available in subsequent years of study

No application is required - eligible students will be awarded the scholarship automatically.

Eligibility

How do I qualify?

  • Hold and accept an offer for a full-time, master’s programme starting in January 2027.
  • Be assessed as overseas fee-status.
  • Pay a minimum £5,500 tuition fee deposit by Wednesday 25 November 2026 midnight (UK time).
  • This award is only available for international students funding their studies through private financial arrangements (such as direct payment or loan arrangement with personal responsibility for repayments e.g. US / Canadian loan funding). Those exempt from paying the deposit will need to provide evidence of their loan application by this deadline.
  • Eligible offer holders who have already paid their deposit for January 2027 will automatically be offered the Award and notified by email via the Admissions Team.

Not eligible

  • PG Diploma or Certificate Courses / Distance learning programmes / Research degrees / Short courses / PG Study Abroad.
  • Applicants who are fully funded by an external organisation who will be invoiced for the fees are not eligible.
  • Students starting a University of Westminster programme taught outside the UK at a partner institution.

Notes to applicants who apply for the January Postgraduate International Excellence Award (IEA)

Eligible offer holders who apply, or have already applied, for the January Postgraduate International Excellence Award (IEA) and pay their deposit* by 25 November 2026 will receive the £3,000 January 2027 International Early Acceptance Award instead.

  • Scholarships and awards cannot be combined. Please refer to the terms and conditions above for further details.
  • Eligible offer holders who apply for the January Postgraduate International Excellence Award but do not pay their deposit by 25 November 2026 will still be considered for the IEA in line with the published eligibility criteria. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by mid-December 2026. Please note that the IEA is a competitive award and is not guaranteed.

* Applicants who are exempt from paying a deposit must provide evidence of a student loan application by 25 November 2026 to be considered.
