MA Urban and Regional Planning RTPI/BCC Scholarship

This is a full-fee scholarship for a Home student enrolled full-time in our MA Urban and Regional Planning programme. Generously funded by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Planning Skills Fund and offered in collaboration with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), the scholarship aims to support individuals who may not otherwise have been able to pursue a career in planning, while also strengthening planning services.

The scholarship will be paid directly to the University to cover tuition fees. As part of the award, the BCC and RTPI also intend to offer mentoring and work experience opportunities to recipients. In return, recipients are expected to work in a council planning role for at least two years after completing their studies.

Selection will be based on the overall merit of each candidate’s application, taking into account academic achievements and personal statements. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to an interview before a final decision is made.
