Contemporary Insights in Strategic Management and Marketing (CISMM)

About us

The Contemporary Insights in Strategic Management and Marketing (CISMM) group advances cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research that bridges strategy and marketing in today’s turbulent, technology-driven, and sustainability-oriented contexts. We aim to generate theoretically rigorous and practically relevant insights that inform managerial practice, pedagogy, and public policy. CISMM serves as a collaborative hub where academics, practitioners, and students co-create impactful research, develop modern case studies, and explore digital and sustainable transformations in business and society.

Research Collective Scheme

We are piloting two Research Sprint Collectives: the Marketing Collective (led by Dr La Toya Quamina) and the Strategic Management Collective (led by Dr Ioannis Christodoulou) to accelerate collaborative, publication-focused research. Each collective brings together small groups of researchers to develop manuscripts through intensive, time-bound “sprint” cycles that combine peer feedback, mentoring, and structured writing support.

The scheme seeks to build momentum for high-quality outputs, strengthen cross-disciplinary engagement, and contribute to a vibrant, collegial research culture at WBS. Contact  or .
