Your relationship with the University of Westminster doesn’t end once you graduate. As one of our alumni, you can stay involved in a variety of ways.

Give a careers talk

Come and share your career experience to date and inspire current students to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Students benefit tremendously from hearing from alumni who are able to give invaluable advice by sharing their experiences working in a particular role or sector.

If you’re interested in speaking to students and recent graduates, whether at one of our flagship What It Takes events or at a course-specific event, please email to register your interest.

Mentor a student

Mentoring is a fantastic opportunity to develop a new skill for your CV as well as a chance to share the benefit of your experience with an eager current student. As a mentor, you can help a student find out more about the reality of certain jobs, sectors and professions based on your personal experiences.

Our mentoring programme is flexible to fit your availability. You can sign up for the Career Mentoring Scheme and be matched with a student for several months, or have a short, one-off conversation through Ask a Mentor. We also welcome alumni based outside the UK, as mentoring can take place online.

Tell your story

Submitting an alumni profile is a great way to give current and prospective students an insight into the kinds of careers that their course might lead to. Inspire tomorrow’s graduates and tell your story in an alumni profile.

Share your news

We’re always on the lookout for alumni news to feature in Network, our alumni magazine. If you have something to share, you could appear in the Class Notes section of our next edition. Just email with 80-100 words and a colour headshot photo.

Be a Westminster Connect Ambassador

We’re looking for alumni to act as ambassadors for Westminster Connect, our online alumni networking platform. Over a three-month period, you could post messages and images to the platform, start a new group, and invite your friends and classmates to get involved. Email to register your interest.

Support students through Westminster Working Cultures

Westminster Working Cultures provides students with the opportunity to experience the professional environment and culture in cities across the globe as well as in the UK. Our alumni are crucial to the success of the programme, hosting students in their workplaces and leading talks and workshops to give students career insights. To find out more about how you might be able to support Westminster Working Cultures, please email .

Become an International Alumni Ambassador

International Alumni Ambassadors are alumni who help to increase University engagement in their country/region. Offer work experience or placements

One of the most effective ways that alumni can help students is to give them the chance to gain valuable work experience that enhances their future employability. You could help them to experience an industry and its culture, develop transferable skills and grow their networks. At the same time, your organisation will benefit from the specialist skills, fresh new ideas and positive enthusiasm of current students.

Please email to register your interest or for more information.

We're transforming our 29 Marylebone Road site into an exciting new space that will connect our students with the world of business and the local community.
