There is dedicated support available for all students from regions affected by conflict, war or civil unrest.

The guidance below will point you to the best service. If you need help, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Support for students

If you have concerns or questions or would like information about the support available to you, speak to a member of the Library and Student Centre team who will support you with your enquiry. You'll find Library and Student Centre service points at our Harrow, Cavendish and Marylebone campuses, or you can get in touch via the Live Chat service on the Student Hub.

We also have a range of student wellbeing support services freely available, which you may find helpful to access.

Help with your studies and assignments

If you have any questions about your studies, you can contact your personal tutor. If you are an exchange student, please contact your Academic Exchange Coordinator.

If you are unable to complete an assignment or assessment, please make use of our mitigating circumstances process, which may enable you to submit work up to five days later than the deadline, or to defer an examination or module.

Please note that, if you hold a student visa to study in the UK and are considering deferring, your right to work in the UK after graduation could be impacted. For information and guidance on student visas, please contact our Student Advice Team.

Fees and funding

If you are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of conflict, war or civil unrest, please make an appointment with our Student Advice Team, or contact our Student Funding Team at so that they can help you to access appropriate support.

For students who experience an interruption to their funding as a result of conflict, war or civil unrest, we'll extend the fee payment options available. If you are impacted in this way, please email .

Bullying or harrassment

All members of our community should expect to be treated with compassion and respect at all times. If you or someone you know has faced any form of harassment or discrimination, then please use our Report and Support platform to report it.
