Urban and Regional Planning MA – 2026

I appreciated the regular communication and engagement with the RTPI, which helped strengthen the connection between our studies and the professional field.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster because my course is accredited by the RTPI, which is an essential requirement for many planning roles.

Tell us about your course and what you have particularly enjoyed

I particularly enjoyed the course trip in November, where travel and accommodation were fully covered. I also appreciated the regular communication and engagement with the RTPI, which helped strengthen the connection between our studies and the professional field.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic support has been very strong, with lecturers who are approachable and supportive throughout the course.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

The architecture studios are a standout feature—they are spacious, well-lit, and never feel overcrowded, with plenty of storage space. Being located on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors also offers great views over Marylebone, which can be quite inspiring for coursework.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

Alongside my studies, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Westminster Waves and as a Student Ambassador . These experiences have allowed me to combine my interests, skills, and academic knowledge, while also helping me meet new people and open new opportunities.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The best aspect is having access to a wide range of clubs, food options, and excellent campus facilities.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

One pleasant surprise was the availability of free breakfast, tea, and coffee for students who may not have the time or resources in the morning.
