Your voice, your music, your station – Westminster Waves

Westminster Waves, our new radio station, will launch this spring.

What is Westminster Waves?

Westminster Waves (WW) is a new university-wide DAB community radio station, licensed by Ofcom and reaching up to two million listeners across London. Based at Harrow Campus with a new studio and a professional Station Manager, the station will showcase the community, our students and colleagues’ creativity. Alongside live radio output, WW will also host podcasts on its digital platform, allowing you to find new content and replay your favourite shows whenever you want.

WW is working with the Smoke Radio society to create an inclusive space for collaboration and will provide physical and creative spaces for colleagues and students to collaborate on content, experiment with new ideas, and develop professional skills.

How to get involved

WW is on the lookout for volunteers to help bring our station to life. Whatever your skills or interests, WW is a great place to learn, create and be part of an energetic, creative team.

  • News & Journalism: reporting, production, presenting, digital news
  • Sport: presenting, commentary, reporting, production

  • Music: music programming, playlists, local music support, scheduling

  • Technical & Engineering: broadcast operations, playout, systems and IT support
