What does a Student Ambassador do?
As a Student Ambassador, your responsibilities are diverse, offering you the chance to participate in a variety of paid activities:
- Event and operational support: Help at Open Days, student fairs, ad-hoc administrative and creative roles, and other university-led events.
- Campus tours: Lead campus tours, highlighting university facilities and student life.
- Student life presentations: Give talks about your course and university experiences.
- Peer mentoring: Guide new students through their university transition, offering support during orientation.
- Marketing and outreach: Represent the university at external events like school visits and higher education fairs, and promotional materials.

How to become a Student Ambassador
If you're interested in joining the Student Ambassador Programme, follow these steps:
- Check eligibility: Ensure you're a current undergraduate or postgraduate student at the University of Westminster.
- Selection criteria: Candidates are assessed on their alignment with university values and their interests in the programme.
- Group interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to group interviews assessing motivation, proactivity, empathy, communication, professionalism, and alignment with university values.
- Training: Selected candidates receive training on the Programme structure, university knowledge, and other skills needed to prepare you for the role.
