Professor Marco Roscini and Eliza Watt are researching a wide range of cyber security issues within the fields of jus ad bellum, jus in bello and international human rights law.
Professor Roscini has published Cyber Operations and the Use of Force (OUP, 2014) and his other contributions to this field of research include:

- Eliza Watt's PhD research is titled, 'Cyber, Space, Law and Privacy'. Its main focus is on those cyber operations, that fall below the 'use of force' threshold under Article 2(4) U.N. Charter. In particular, her project is concerned with cyber surveillance activities conducted by some of the largest state intelligence agencies, including the NSA and GCHQ and their impact on the right to privacy under Article 17 of the International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights and Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
