Westminster Business School Research

The 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) rated 85% of Westminster Business School (WBS) research to be of an internationally recognised (2*) standard, or higher, placing us among the top post-1992 university business schools in the UK. In addition, 40% of our output and impact is rated at 3* or 4* indicating internationally excellent and world leading research quality. A total of 23 staff members were submitted across various disciplines and we are proud of the significant impact that our research has on the academic community and on our society.

We have a strong research culture with wide-ranging interests in business and management. We invest in three Research Centres that have portfolios of research recognised to be internationally world-leading and excellent. This research attracts funding from leading grant awarding bodies such as ESRC, the Leverhulme Trust, and the Nuffield Foundation.

Our monthly research seminars draw both external and internal speakers. Research students also benefit from a doctoral colloquium where they present their work and receive feedback from senior researchers in addition to their own supervisory team. In addition, we're a Centre of Excellence for the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, our MBA is accredited by The Association of MBAs (AMBA) and we have strong links with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
