Each School hosted a separate celebration, which included messages from the senior team and a slideshow of graduates who joined in with the celebration to recognise what they have achieved at Westminster. Graduates were able to share the platform with their family and friends who could leave messages of congratulations.

Each celebration included messages from the Head of College, Head of School or the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Education Dr Sal Jarvis, and Vice-Chancellor Dr Peter Bonfield. Colleagues from across the institution including tutors and Course Leaders were also encouraged to leave video messages, and Westminster alumni also took part.

The University have also launched an exclusive career support package for the Class of 2020 to help their ongoing career journey in face of the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. The package includes unlimited access to the career support website, which offers key resources and services to help graduates kickstart their careers.

Talking about her virtual celebration, Hannah Wilson, Journalism BA Honours graduate, said: "The virtual celebration was a great way to commemorate the end of my time at Westminster. It is unfortunate that we aren't able to have a physical graduation just yet but the videos from my tutors, the Vice-Chancellor and SU President were brilliant and a great source of advice and inspiration. The class of 2020 have had a rough start, but it means a lot that the University took the time to do this for us and it only makes me look forward to my in-person graduation even more."

Business Management (Marketing) BA Honours graduate Mariia Kogan added: “It was so nice to listen to warm messages from the team at Westminster. I feel hopeful and positive about mine and my fellow Class of 2020 graduates’ future, especially with all the support we are getting from the University. Congratulations to all the recent graduates, and I wish you luck!”

Each of the School’s celebrations will remain live for two months for graduates to enjoy and share with family and friends if they could not attend on the launch date.
