Regent Street Cinema

The University of Westminster has completed a major campaign to restore and reopen the historic Cinema at our Regent Street headquarters. As the birthplace of British Cinema, the new state-of-the-art auditorium is open to the public as a unique arts venue for screenings, lectures, workshops and events, and has become a landmark for film in the heart of London’s West End.

The Cinema’s programming is distinctive and highly informed repertory fare, combining classics with a stimulating mix of the best of independent and world cinema, documentary films, festivals and retrospectives. It will also act as a showcase for our activities and successes in film, TV, moving image and photography enabling students at the University to be part of professional exhibition and industry-led events, which will enhance their own practice and their engagement with the film and TV industry in the heart of central London.

You can find out more about the Cinema’s unique heritage and stay up to date with the latest programme on the Regent Street Cinema website.
