Modern Languages and Cultures

Based in the heart of a vibrant, multilingual capital, the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures offers a flexible and exciting range of opportunities to study European and non-European languages, cultures and societies and develop professional translation and interpreting skills.

From our central London location we train competent linguists ready to enter the workplace with a focus on applied language skills and the study of culture as an integral part of language learning.

Dr Gerda Wielander, Head of the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures.
