Teaching timetables

To access the new online teaching timetable for your course, log in to timetabling.

You can view who is teaching your lectures, seminars and tutorials. You can also book library groups study spaces. Make sure you check your timetable on a regular basis. You will be sent notifications if any times and classrooms change.

How to access your timetable

  1. Go to our timetabling system.
  2. Click on the My Timetable link and sign in with your username and password.
  3. Use the left and right arrows to move between weeks.
  4. Change the view to day or month via the timetable menu.
  5. Click on an event to display more information.

Subscribe to your timetable

Subscribe to your timetable to view it via the calendar app on your smartphone or tablet, or via Outlook or Google calendars.

  1. Go to our timetabling system.
  2. Click on the My Timetable link and sign in with your username and password.
  3. Under the Administration menu, go to My Mobile and click the Create Link button.
  4. Copy the whole link, then click on the ‘help’ icon for instructions on how to set up your feed on your chosen device.

Exam timetables

The final May exam timetables for Semester 2 and Year Long modules are now available. Your exams will appear directly in your CMISGo timetable (where you view your teaching timetable). Please ensure that you check your timetable as changes will have been made to the timing/date of some exams.

Note for students with disabilities

If you have a disability and require individual exam arrangements, you will need to register with Disability Learning Support and attend an appointment with a Disability Learning Adviser. Deadline dates for registering will be published nearer the exam period.

It can take up to two weeks to be seen by an adviser, so be sure to contact the Disability Learning Support team well in advance.

If you have already registered with the team and have learning support entitlements in place, you do not need to contact the team.

Examinations Guidance for students

Entry into the examination room

You must bring with you your University of Westminster identity (ID) card to all examinations and display it on your desk during the examination. Failure to provide appropriate photo ID may result in you not being admitted into your examination.

You may enter the examination room only when permitted to do so by the invigilator and must follow the invigilator’s instructions at all times. 

Once you have entered the examination room you must remain silent and in your seat for the duration of the examination. If you wish to attract the invigilator’s attention you should do so by raising a hand.

At the end of the examination you must remain seated and silent until all answer booklets have been collected, counted and until dismissed by the invigilator. Not to do so may constitute academic misconduct.

Use of calculators, dictionaries, reference books and equipment in examinations

Module leaders should inform students of what equipment is, or is not allowed to be taken into the examination room in advance of the examination. 

Where the use of calculators, specified reference books, or other equipment is permitted in the examination, this shall be clearly stated in the rubric of the examination paper. The type of calculator, title of book(s), or type of other equipment should also be clearly defined.

If you are unsure about what material you are permitted to bring with you to your examination, please speak to your module leader.

The introduction and/or use of smart watches, mobile phones and any other electronic devices are not permitted during the examination other than those specifically permitted in the rubric of the paper. 

This includes, for example, the use of a memory calculator where the rubric provides for an ordinary calculator, and the use of any paper other than official examination stationery supplied by the University.

All electronic devices must be switched off throughout the duration of the examination.

Any attempt on the part of one or more students to gain an unfair advantage may be construed as academic misconduct and dealt with under in accordance with Section 10 Academic Misconduct Regulations, irrespective of whether any benefit was gained by the student(s) concerned.
