Introduction to Mid-Module Check-in (MMC)
The MMC is your opportunity to pause and reflect on your learning experience so far. This check-in isn’t just a survey - it’s a moment to think about what’s working for you, what isn’t, and what could help you get more from your studies.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to give thoughtful, honest feedback. Your responses should reflect your own experience – what you like about your modules and what improvements you think would make the learning experience better for you.
In sharing your personal perspective, you’re helping shape modules not just for yourself, but for your classmates too. Your insight matters, and your feedback can help make meaningful changes during modules – not just at the end.
When will the MMC take place?
For most modules, check-ins will take place in week five of each semester.
Who needs to complete the MMC and how long will it take?
All undergraduate and taught postgraduate students will receive an email invitation to complete an online MMC. You'll be asked to complete a check-in for each module, which should take approximately five minutes to complete, depending on how detailed your response is.
How can I access the MMC?
You'll receive one email invite sent to your University email account. The invite will contain a link to an evaluation for each module you are registered on. You can also access your MMCs via Blackboard; please follow the instructions provided by your Module Leader.
What happens to my feedback and is it confidential?
Your feedback will become confidential and anonymous once you press the submit button. Feedback is stored in a summary module file that will be shared with your Module Leader once the evaluation has closed. For more information on how the University handles your data, please consult the student data privacy statement.
