The Student Ambassador scheme offers a range of opportunities to current students. These applicants will be able to select positions across Professional Services throughout the year on an ad hoc basis.

Our Student Ambassadors can support you to deliver events, projects, and initiatives that you will be running throughout the year. Currently, our bank of ambassadors is working on different campaigns and projects, such as Open Days, recruitment events, school visits, enrolment, and much more.

Student Ambassadors role

It is expected that all Student Ambassadors conduct themselves in a responsible and respectful manner, after all, they represent the University of Westminster and its values.

Once the Student Ambassadors have joined the scheme, we support and help them to upskill in a variety of different ways:

  • By becoming an inspiration to prospective and current students
  • To be engaging, assisting, promoting, and helping others on their journey at university
  • Talking in a positive manner about their experiences at university, their course, societies they are involved in and other university activities and services
  • Knowing how to signpost to the right services when needed
  • Supporting different staff members at the university
  • Providing higher education talks and advice to prospective students
  • Running higher education fair stands

This list is not limited to the above points.

Our role

  • Build a trustworthy network of Student Ambassadors
  • Provide information to hiring managers about payment process
  • Provide standard training about our services and facilities, including customer service, communication skills and safeguarding
  • Responsible for the recruitment of students
