Where to get support
Being a student can be both a fun and stressful time, and LGBT students may have additional concerns, such as worries about coming out or reconciling their sexuality with their identity and/or gender.
Our support teams and the Students' Union are here to offer you help and guidance if you need it:
- The Students' Union's LGBTI+ Society provides a supportive network and organises regular events
- Our Counselling Service offers confidential support and guidance
- Our libraries have various books on LGBT subjects that you might find useful
- Our Career Development Centre offers advice on your rights as an LGBT person entering the workplace, as well as holding copies of the Stonewall publication ‘Starting Out’ in its library
