The induction activities are designed to introduce you to the University, your course and to your fellow course members before you begin your studies and your course leader will be available to advise and support you.
It is essential that you attend all of your induction events, to give you the best possible start to your time with us.

Welcome to the School of Applied Management
Welcome to the start of a new and exciting chapter in your life. You will shortly meet your Course Leader and teaching teams, all of whom are passionate about giving you the best possible experience during your time here. We will all do everything we can to make you feel at home and support you in your studies. During your studies with us, you have an opportunity to engage and develop networks with the professions and industry, and our graduates achieve great jobs.
Our community is large and diverse, reflecting the population of London and beyond. We have students from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures taking courses from foundation degrees through to PhDs. We are confident that you will find this an exciting and rewarding place to live, study and develop all your ambitions.
Collecting your ID card and completing enrolment
As part of your induction and to complete your enrolment, you'll need to collect your student ID card.

Academic study skills workshop
11am–12.30pm
Studying in university is different to what you experienced before, either if you studied in the UK or elsewhere. This online event allows you to develop the academic skills you will need during your studies and gain insight into the type of assessment you will encounter.

Westminster Business School Welcome Event
4pm
Join us for a special welcome event designed just for new students, featuring a motivational talk from our special guest, celebrity entrepreneur, musician, and author Levi Roots, best known for his success on Dragons’ Den and his famous Reggae Reggae Sauce.
Alongside a welcome from our Head of College, Levi will share his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to business success. This is a fantastic chance to meet your fellow students, course leaders, and members of the leadership and university teams. Come along to get inspired, ask questions, and start your journey at Westminster Business School on the right foot!

Drop-in Q&A (optional)

Blackboard is our online learning platform, which you'll be able to log in to after you've set up your University email address and password.
Teaching timetables
Teaching starts in the week commencing Monday 22 September and you can check your teaching timetable to see when and where your classes are being held.
Course handbook
Full details on the course structure, modules and course team are included in the course handbook, which can be found on Blackboard.
Reading list
Your online reading list will give you easy access to the materials recommended by your lecturers. This might include e-books, articles, scanned chapters, databases and online videos. You can also find locations and availability for print books in the library in your online reading list.
