Welcome to your course

We are delighted to welcome you to the Marketing Management MA/MSc degree at the School of Management, Marketing and Experience Industries.

The induction activities are designed to introduce you to the University, your course and to your fellow course members before you begin your studies and your course leader will be available to advise and support you.

It is essential that you attend all of your induction events, to give you the best possible start to your time with us.

We welcome you to our diverse School community and look forward to working together on exciting modules that encourage active learning, often with industry input. We encourage students to enhance their University experience with work-based learning, placements, and we will support you in your early career. Some of our former students come back to explain their journey and to offer internships and other opportunities; some of you will go on to do the same.

Collecting your ID card and completing enrolment

As part of your induction and to complete your enrolment, you'll need to collect your student ID card.

1.30–2.15pm

This event is where the senior members of the university community will welcome you to the university and the business school, highlighting exciting opportunities open to you while you study.

Students' Union Marylebone Welcome Fair (Optional)

10am–4pm, Ambika P3, Marylebone Campus

The fair will provide you with the opportunity to see what the Students' Union and University have to offer outside of your studies.

Westminster Business School Welcome Event

4.30pm

Join us for the Westminster Business School Welcome Event, created especially for our new students, featuring an inspiring talk from our guest speaker, Tom Toumazis MBE – entrepreneur, investor, TEDx speaker and business leader who has helped shape some of the world’s biggest media and technology brands, including Disney and Yahoo!.

Alongside a welcome from our Head of College, Tom will share his inspiring journey from leading global organisations to using his skills and experience to make a positive difference. Awarded an MBE for his services to children through his work with the NSPCC and Childline, Tom’s career is proof that success isn’t just about business – it’s about using your skills to create opportunities and make a positive difference.

The event will bring together new students, course leaders and members of the Business School community as you begin your journey at Westminster Business School. Hear from an inspiring business leader, connect with your peers, and start your university experience with insight, ambition and confidence.

Course activity

This event provides a perfect opportunity to connect with new friends, share ideas, and build lasting relationships in a fun and vibrant atmosphere! You will meet more academic members of the course team who are eager to welcome you to the University.

Outdoor Film Screening (Optional)

6.30–9.30pm

All new students are invited to an outdoor cinema event at Harrow Campus. The college will be providing one free drink and a choice of snack for the first 500 attendees, as well as a paid bar during the screening.
