World Mental Health Day 2025

Join us on Thursday 10 October to connect, listen, and support each other.

With academic pressure, money worries, and feelings of loneliness, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed at university. That’s why it’s important to find what helps you stay grounded and well, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

This World Mental Health Day, we invite you to take time for yourself and connect with others through our events and student support services. Together we can build a university community that values mental health, inclusion, and a sense of belonging.

Activities on the day

Join us for Tea and Talk, a collaborative event hosted by the Students’ Union together with Student Support and Residential Life. It’s a chance to come together over a cuppa, share experiences, and explore this year’s theme in an open, welcoming space.

You can also learn more about the services and support available to you at the University and your Students' Union, and the steps you can take to support your mental health throughout your time at Westminster.

Can’t make it to the Cavendish campus?

Consider accessing therapeutic support and wellbeing resources via Spectrum. Life. Students can sign up with their Westminster email address and start exploring today. The Organisation Code is UWMSAP

Keep an eye on the Student Hub and the Students’ Union events page to access wellbeing workshops and events taking place throughout the year.

Check the NHS's ’Coping with stress and burnout’ page for more tools and information on the topic. You can also visit the ’Burnout From Studying: Meaning and Signs' page, as well as Calm’s 'What is burnout? 22 signs you're facing it (and how to recover)' blog page for more.
