"Say yes!"

My motto is to say ‘yes’ and apply for everything. There are opportunities everywhere and you just need to grab them all.
"The University offers so much support so do everything you can. Immerse yourself in every opportunity."

"Stepping stone"

"My time at Westminster has provided me with a stepping stone to get to where I want to be as well as helping me to discover my passions outside of my academic study. There are just too many things that I want to do.
"Working with a range of diverse stakeholders has given me the confidence to seek opportunities and understand what I am capable of."

"I gained more confidence"

"Since my first meeting with a Careers Consultant I gained more confidence in my future career journey and received valuable and honest feedback about my start-up. It gave me a realistic understanding of what should I do next and how I’m going to do it."

"Maximise your opportunities"

"London is an employment hub where all the major players are. It’s imperative to network and maximise your opportunities.
"When I started my placement I only had about 50 LinkedIn connections. Now I’m coming to the end of my placement and I have expanded my network to over 500. There are so many opportunities out there, you just have to be proactive."

"Helped to build my confidence"

I lacked confidence when I started my course. Since them I have done volunteering, a work placement and I have had a mentor. All these experiences helped to really build my confidence.
"It’s really important that you go out and see what the University has to offer, whether it’s mentoring, career advice, volunteering. It all looks really good on your CV and helps you develop the skills you are going to need in your future career."
