The University of Westminster Indian Alumni Network (WIAN) has over 900 active members and links graduating students with alumni back in India for placement, internship and mentoring opportunities.
The network is headed up by a committee of alumni volunteers who are active in organising events, creating networking opportunities and engage in recruitment activities for prospective students.
Jigar Mehta (Marketing MA, 2010)
Jigar Mehta holds a post graduate degree in Marketing Communication (2008-2009) from University of Westminster. He is the Co-Founder of a new and upcoming brand called Honey Twigs (India) which he started with a former classmate from UOW in 2014. He has also worked for a number of years in theater production and live events.
Jigar values his time at Westminster and how it helped him start his own business:
"The seed for the business was sown during my tenure at the University and all the marketing knowledge imparted to us during the course has been of immense value".
Monica Hariharan (Media Management MA, 2010)
Akshay Khullar (Computer Animation PgDip, 2007)
Akshay studied Computer Animation at Westminster and also received a degree in Animation, Art and Design from the Art Institute of Vancouver, Canada. Akshay has been working for Fidelity since August 2015 as Manager UX/Creative. In this role, he drives digital design and user experience standards across all products and services with a particular focus in online customer experience and improving the online digital capabilities.
During his career, Akshay has worked in various fields including Advertising, Animation and the Gaming industry, working on several projects in media, print, web and game projects for over 10 years. Previous roles have been as Head of Animation for a computer games company in London, teaching 3D games design and at Madame Tussauds, a leading entertainment company in London.
Akshay is versatile with interactive design and online media and is currently experimenting with motion graphic and 3D mapping. He is also very passionate about gaming on Xbox and is always looking out for new trends in technology and design.

A message to all recent graduates:
On behalf of the Delhi Alumni Committee, I congratulate all of you for graduating from the University of Westminster and welcome back to India.
It can be taxing for most trying to figure – what next?? Well, you guys are not alone, we as Alumni are here to help you out and also to have some fun and relive our memories at the UOW together.
