Sustainable Business Management BA – 2028

Knowing what I’m learning has real impact gives me sense of purpose and motivation.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster because it was one of the few institutions in London offering a course that perfectly combines sustainability and business—two fields I’m passionate about and see as crucial for the future. The course aligns with my long-term career goals and opens up high-impact opportunities. I was also drawn to Westminster's international outlook and the global experiences it offers, which I knew would enrich both my personal growth and professional development.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

What I’ve loved most about my course is how well it integrates sustainability into the core of business studies. There’s a seamless balance between both subjects, and many business modules explore sustainability in depth. This crossover makes the content not only intellectually stimulating but also highly relevant to real-world challenges.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic support at Westminster has been excellent. I’ve made a conscious effort to build strong relationships with my lecturers, and that communication has really enhanced my learning. They’ve been approachable, insightful, and genuinely invested in my progress, which has made a big difference in how I engage with my studies.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

Outside of academics, I stay connected to my culture by attending Bulgarian traditional dance classes weekly. I’ve also recently started Pilates at the Regent Campus, which helps me stay active and balanced. I make it a point to enjoy life outside of university too—travelling with family and friends has kept me grounded. I’ve recently visited Italy, Barcelona, and Bulgaria. One of my proudest moments was submitting a poster design for the upcoming SDG conference as part of a competition. And most excitingly, I’ll be studying abroad in Paris next semester—an incredible opportunity I’m thrilled about.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

Get involved as much as you can. Say yes to opportunities—especially international ones—as they can shape your journey in amazing ways. Be proactive, meet people, and stay curious. I’ve already recommended Westminster to future students who are now planning to join, and I truly believe they’ll thrive here just as I have.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The best part is the sense of pride I feel in being part of this university and studying a subject I’m passionate about. Knowing that what I’m learning has real, long-term impact gives me a strong sense of purpose and motivation.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

Being accepted to spend a semester studying in Paris was a complete surprise—and a dream come true. I never imagined such an opportunity would come my way, and it’s one of the most exciting parts of my journey at Westminster so far.
