Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
I chose the University of Westminster because it felt like the right fit for me, as it offers a strong balance between academic quality and real-world application. The course content was well structured and relevant to the career path I wanted to pursue. It had all the modules that I was looking for, along with the right accreditations. I was also drawn to its central London location, which provides excellent opportunities for professional development and networking. Overall, it felt like a place where I could grow both professionally and academically.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
I studied Business and Organisational Psychology MSc, and I’ve really enjoyed how the programme combines psychology theory with real business applications. It’s given me a deeper understanding of how people behave at work and how organisations can create healthier and productive environments. I’ve particularly enjoyed modules that focus on leadership, motivation and workplace wellbeing as they’ve helped me see how psychology can be used to solve real-world challenges. The course also encourages critical thinking and reflection, which has helped me grow both academically and personally.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
The lecturer's support throughout my studies has been very positive. Lecturers are approachable and genuinely interested in helping students succeed. They are open to questions, give useful feedback and are willing to provide extra support when needed. Overall, I’ve felt supported both academically and personally during my time on the course.
Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?
The University provides well-equipped study spaces, including quiet areas for independent work and collaborative rooms for group projects. Additionally, the online learning platform has been a great tool as it’s well-organised with easy access to lecture materials, library resources and recorded sessions, which makes it easier to stay on track with the course.
Have you used the University Careers and Employability Service? If yes tell us about your experience
I used the University’s Careers and Employability Service and found it incredibly helpful. I had a one-to-one meeting where a career advisor guided me on how to improve my CV for an internship application. She gave clear feedback on what changes to make and helped me explore the university’s connections with various companies and industries. The careers team also sends us email updates about the latest job vacancies and internship opportunities if you’re registered on their platform!
