Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
I received offers from a few different universities in the UK but decided to choose the University of Westminster due to its great reputation for up to date and practical Marketing courses and valuable industry connections.
How has your experience been studying in London?
It has been rewarding and fruitful so far, with new opportunities and experiences every day. I have gained knowledge and insight about the UK market which will be useful for my future employment. At the same time, getting to enjoy the culture and wonderful lifestyle in London has been amazing.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
The Marketing Management MA allows us to practice our strategic thinking in marketing from a management point of view and includes modules such as Marketing Research Insights, Consumer Psychology for Marketing and Multi-Platform Marketing Communications. These modules directly relate to my future employment, especially as I have already been working as a Marketing Manager for a few years before studying at Westminster.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
My lecturers are supportive and have a profound knowledge of Marketing with real corporate experience. I have also been able to seek career advice from my lecturers, as my plan is to continue to shift my career from South East Asia to the UK upon graduation.
Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course
During my time at Westminster, I attended a residential weekend at the De Vere Beaumont Estate. Working as a professional team with my peers, we spent the full weekend working on a proposed marketing strategy for our client, Enterprise Car Club, with the aim to improve their market share. My team was successful in becoming the first team to receive three out of four prizes on offer. This was a great experience and we were incredibly grateful that the course team was able to organise this for us.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
Westminster is a great option if you are looking for the next step in enhancing your knowledge and preparing for your professional career, either in your home country or the UK.
