Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

The University of Westminster is a community that offers a wide range of courses and opportunities. The university's values were a driving force in my decision to choose the University of Westminster, supporting high ethical standards and social responsibility to help shape and build our future.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

Studying in the Business Management Entrepreneurship course was a life-changing experience. this course allowed me to meet a great number of entrepreneurs whose stories were very influential and motivational. Because of the many opportunities offered, the programme helped me in shaping the type of entrepreneur I want to become and what I can do to get there.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic and lecturer support during my studies was extremely positive and impactful. The accessibility and approachability of the professors created a safe and supportive learning environment where asking questions was encouraged which enhanced the learning experience and engagement with the material.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

One of the stand-out facilities that really enhanced my learning experience was the availability of modern, well-equipped lecture halls and collaborative workspaces. The digital resources, including access to business databases like Statista and Mintel, allowed for deeper research and analysis. The Marylebone campus, where the course is based, also provides a professional and inspiring environment to study, network, and work on entrepreneurial projects.

Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service 

My experience with the Careers and Employability Service was incredibly helpful. I received one-to-one guidance on CV building and job applications, which helped me feel more prepared for life after university. The service also offered workshops on entrepreneurship and networking, which were especially valuable for someone on my course. They helped me explore career paths and made it easier to navigate next steps with confidence.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course 

During my time at the University of Westminster I had the opportunity to attend the Conscious Social Entrepreneurs 1st annual conference in partnership with NatWest. Several entrepreneurs were introduced and had the opportunity to tell their story including media executive Terry Jervis. This experience gave me the knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a social entrepreneur and the mindset to carry. In my final year at the university I served as a course representative, this experience remarkably contributed to my personal and professional development. abilities such as communication, organizational, and leadership skills helped boost my confidence and allowed me to take on new challenges and opportunities that kept me motivated. 

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

Studying at this university is a great opportunity and experience. you'll be able to develop a great deal of skills and knowledge and gain networking connections for your future career endeavours. make well use of all the resources available to you and ensure that you take it one step at a time. take proper care of your mental health and know that there is plenty of support there for you.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The university helped build my current mindset, being a University of Westminster student meant that I could help create positive change for the future and ensure that the work is done in an ethical manner.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

The most surprising aspect of my Westminster experience was the environment and community surrounding the university. The university is very diverse, and I was welcomed into a place where many students came from different parts of the world and learning about their cultures and traditions was a beautiful experience.
