Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
Westminster is renowned in my home country and I was influenced by a video on the course page that made the Marketing Management MA look very attractive, with a wide range of modules. Being located in Central London was also an add-on that made the University attractive to me.
How has your experience been studying in London?
My experience has been exciting. Since the day I landed, London has made me feel comfortable. I love the city's hustle and bustle, which is very similar to Mumbai where I come from. London has a lot to offer in terms of good tourist attractions, pubs and hidden gems such as Camden and Portobello Market, making you feel that London is full of artistic vibes with a flavour of fashion. Another advantage is the convenience of being able to take day trips from London, as the city is a central point for anywhere you want to visit in England.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
My course is a mixed blend of all the important aspects of marketing. The first semester has provided an in-depth knowledge of the marketing mix and marketing research, creating a strong foundation for the second semester.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
Academic support is the best part of the course. The module leaders go out of their way to make sure that students have no questions and are clear on the assignment in order to proceed in the right direction.
Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course
My course provided a two-day residential weekend, which was full of excitement, fun and work. We were given some intense deadlines, however, it was very systematically planned. This was followed by an award ceremony where students could showcase their work, have dinner and get to know the professors better while socialising with classmates.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
The University of Westminster will make you ready for the 'real world'. It’s the perfect place to meet a diverse range of people from countries around the world, helping you understand different cultures and enrich your education.
What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?
The entire vibe and diverse range of staff and students at the University, giving you global exposure. When you enter the University it's like a networking event.
