Digital Marketing BA

The lecturers and seminar leaders have been incredibly supportive.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

When researching and applying to universities in London, the Digital Marketing BA offered by the University of Westminster especially caught my eye. It combines the fun and creative aspects of marketing with a deep dive into analytics. The emphasis on real-world learning sets it apart from courses at other universities.

How has your experience been studying in London?

Studying in London has been amazing. I moved here two years before starting my studies, but attending a university here has really opened my eyes to new perspectives and deepened my love for the city. To be honest, I don't think I'll ever move away.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I have enjoyed the variety of modules we can choose each year, everything from global marketing studies and the power of brands to creating websites and content to advertise your self-made business concept. This year has been super captivating as we worked with real-life clients to develop either marketing strategies or conduct research regarding their business problems, providing recommendations based on our findings. It's a great feeling to have the opportunity as a student to work on real problems and to experience the real world of marketing.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

Lecturers and seminar leaders have been incredibly supportive. Their availability to offer advice and further explanations is remarkable. Witnessing the passion they bring to teaching and their genuine interest in building a relationship with students makes the experience truly delightful. It not only enhances the overall learning journey but also creates a fantastic support network.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

This year, the university purchased "Mimic”, an innovative marketing software designed to streamline campaign management and analytics. Tailored for marketing students, it offers hands-on experience in creating, implementing, and analysing marketing strategies. It provides a real-world simulation, allowing us students to develop practical skills that are highly relevant in today's dynamic marketing landscape. Apart from being extremely useful and educational, it's also just very fun and creates a little fun competition in seminars.

Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service

I have attended several meetings to discuss CV and Cover Letter writing as I am currently applying for a placement year. The staff have been super informative, helpful, and, most of all, incredibly kind. It is a stressful process and knowing that there is someone to guide you through and support you is always good to know.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

Come to one of the open days and see how great the next 3 or 4 years will be if you decide to study here!

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The central location of my Marylebone Campus is a huge plus, and the student union and university strive to make the campus a comfortable and enjoyable environment.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

How big the University actually is! When applying, I was aware of the Harrow and Marylebone Campus, but I was positively surprised when I found out there were more.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Being an international student, deciding to study in a completely different country and language can be overwhelming and even a bit scary. However, I consider it one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I'm confident I won't regret it. Taking risks is always better than living with the regret of missed opportunities once they're gone.
