Chinese and International Communications with International Experience BA – 2025
The positive atmosphere on campus and the global reputation of the university are things I really appreciate.
Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
I chose Westminster because it's in the heart of London, which makes commuting easier. During a campus tour, a third-year student shared their experience, and I could feel the positive, supportive atmosphere. It seemed like the university had the right system in place to help students perform their best, and that’s why I chose Westminster.
How has your experience been studying in London?
I’ve really enjoyed studying in London because it’s such a multicultural and open city. I’ve felt supported by my teachers, and the university atmosphere made me feel understood, even though I’m far from home. This sense of security helped me learn and grow, and it’s made me want to stay in London during the continuation of my study.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
The support I’ve received from my lecturers has been amazing. Coming from a different educational background, adjusting to new styles of writing and studying was challenging, but my lecturers were always available to help. They’re not just knowledgeable; they also made learning easier and more enjoyable. This has been especially helpful for my communication and language modules.

Your Thoughts
Even though I faced some challenges during my four years at Westminster, I am grateful for the opportunity to study here. The courses and experiences have helped me grow, both academically and personally. I’m especially thankful to my Chinese and Japanese language teachers for helping me improve my skills and inspiring me to keep learning. I studied Japanese through Polylang, the University’s open language programme, which gave me the chance to explore the language and culture in more depth alongside my main degree. I’m also grateful to all my other teachers who have supported me from day one and encouraged me to be the best version of myself.
