Marketing Management MA – 2025

Choosing to study at the University of Westminster was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I genuinely enjoy being here, and I especially love the Marylebone location; it’s such a vibrant, convenient, and inspiring area to study in.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

Since my undergraduate days, I had always envisioned pursuing a master's in the UK, and London was my top choice due to its vibrant atmosphere and diverse activities. I felt it was the ideal environment for both academic growth and personal development, offering a perfect blend of learning and exploration. When selecting a university in London, I prioritized credibility, course content, tuition fees, and location, and after careful consideration, the University of Westminster emerged as the best overall fit for me.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I’ve truly appreciated the comprehensive and practical nature of the Marketing Management MA/MSc program. Each module has broadened my understanding of marketing from different perspectives—covering strategy, branding, consumer behaviour, pricing, and distribution. A highlight has been Product and Brand Management, which allowed me to blend creativity with critical thinking in managing brands online and offline, crucial for my goal of becoming a brand manager. Marketing Research Insights has equipped me with valuable skills in data analysis to inform real-world marketing strategies, boosting both my academic knowledge and professional confidence.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

My lecturers are dedicated and deliver engaging, clear lessons. As English is my second language, I sometimes struggle with fluency, but their patience and willingness to help have made me more confident in seeking assistance. Their encouragement fosters a comfortable, interactive learning atmosphere.

I also found that the university offers excellent, free resources, including textbooks, journals, and databases like Mintel and Statista, which are invaluable for my coursework. Additionally, tools like Grammarly Premium have greatly assisted my writing!

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

The Student Centre stands out for its prompt and helpful responses to my inquiries, which have eased my worries and allowed me to focus on my studies. The university library is another favourite, especially the silent zone that provides a peaceful environment for focused work. I also enjoy the university canteen, where affordable meals and friendly staff, like the ever-smiling gentleman, make my campus experience more enjoyable and help me save on living expenses.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

Feeling stressed during your studies is normal, but at Westminster, you’re never alone. The university’s dedicated staff and excellent facilities offer ongoing support, making it easier to manage challenges and focus on both academic and personal growth. Knowing help is always available can significantly ease your journey.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The strongest aspect for me is the sense of community and belonging. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by staff, lecturers, and fellow students, which has greatly enhanced my university experience.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

I was pleasantly surprised to find free sanitary products in the women’s bathrooms, including pads, tampons, and liners. It’s a small gesture, but it reflects the university’s thoughtful, inclusive approach. Additionally, the campus feels very secure, with strict entry controls like scanning student IDs, which makes me feel much safer on campus.
