I chose the University of Westminster because of its strong reputation in media and communication studies, its diverse international environment, and its location in the heart of London. I was especially interested in the practical and modern approach to teaching, which helps students develop both academic knowledge and professional skills. Studying at Westminster also gave me the opportunity to experience different cultures and build connections for my future career.
How has your experience been studying in London?
My experience studying in London has been very positive and inspiring. London is a multicultural city with many opportunities to learn and explore new ideas. Studying here has helped me improve my academic skills, communication skills, and independence. Although adapting to a new environment was challenging at first, it has been a valuable experience that helped me grow personally and academically.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
The academic and lecturer support has been very helpful throughout my studies. The lecturers are approachable, supportive, and always willing to answer questions or provide feedback. I appreciate the guidance they give on assignments and research, which has helped me develop more confidence in my academic work.
Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?
One of the stand-out facilities is the university library, which provides excellent academic resources, study spaces, and online materials. I also appreciate the digital learning platforms and media-related facilities that support students in research and communication projects. These facilities make studying more effective and enjoyable.

Zone29 has helped me develop my professional skills and think more clearly about my future career goals. The support, advice, and workshops have been useful in improving my confidence and helping me grow in my current job. It has also encouraged me to develop my future professional goals and continue building my career path successfully.
Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course
One of the most valuable activities I have undertaken outside of my course was being a Course Representative. This role helped me build stronger relationships with my classmates and improve my communication and leadership skills. I was responsible for sharing students’ feedback and comments with lecturers and helping to create better communication between students and staff.
I also enjoyed taking part in social activities and university events, which helped me become more involved in university life and connect with students from different backgrounds and cultures.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
I would advise them to make the most of every opportunity the university offers, both academically and socially. Westminster is a diverse and supportive environment where students can learn from different cultures and experiences. I would also encourage them to participate in university activities, build connections, and ask for support whenever needed.

One of the best aspects of being a University of Westminster student is studying in a diverse international community in the heart of London. The university provides a supportive environment, valuable academic experiences, and opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
What’s the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?
The most surprising aspect of my experience was how quickly I adapted to studying and living in a multicultural environment. I was also surprised by how supportive the lecturers and students were, which made me feel more comfortable and confident throughout my studies.

My experience at the University of Westminster has been very valuable both academically and personally. I have developed my academic, communication, and professional skills while meeting people from many different cultures and backgrounds. The experience has helped me grow in confidence and prepare for my future career and goals.
