Being in the centre of the city gives you the best opportunities to build contacts, relationships and opportunities.

What are you doing now?

I recently finished working as 2D Supervisor on Warner Brother's version of 'The Jungle Book' feature film.

What did you find most valuable about your course at Westminster? How did the skills you learnt during your degree help you to shape your career?

I still use the skills every day in my job as it gives me the ability to understand and interact with all the creative and technical departments in a feature film production.

What was the best thing about being a student in London?

The diversity of big city life.

What extra-curricular activities did you participate in that enhanced your time at the University?

Various sports clubs and Students' Union events.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of pursuing a similar career?

It's a very, very competitive market. You need to know how you are going to stand out from the other graduates.

Why would you recommend Westminster as a place to study?

Being in the centre of the city gives you the best opportunities to build contacts, relationships and opportunities.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself, your achievements, life experiences, what inspires you, or career that may be valuable/interesting to our prospective students or alumni?

I have now worked on around 70 feature films including Oscar and BAFTA-winning titles for Best Visual Effects. I was in the Oscar- and BAFTA-winning teams for 'Golden Compass' and more recently 'Gravity'; the BAFTA-winning team for 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' (Part 1 and Part 2); and in the Oscar and BAFTA nominated teams for 'Guardians of the Galaxy'; and 'The Martian'. My job is a fascinating blend of using the very latest in technology to push the boundaries of one of the most ancient skills of storytelling.
