Doing a placement year has helped me to realise my potential
I chose to do a placement year as I believe it would help me with my future career. I also wanted to see if finance was something I wanted to pursue after I graduated. I study Accounting at Westminster and have been able to first hand see how finance and accounting works in a huge corporation like IBM. My job as Finance Analyst included revenue, cost transfers, and days sales outstanding support. My main responsibilities were to make sure software cost was minimal and revenue was transferred to my part of the business in time. This year has helped me realize my potential, and helped me figure out what career path I want to go down.
