Business and Organizational Psychology MSc

If you are a student from abroad and are considering coming to study in the UK, definitely do it!

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

The first thing that caught my attention about the University of Westminster is its unique location right in the heart of London. It was also one of the few universities that combined both of my interests, namely psychology and business, in a Master's program.

How has your experience been studying in London?

London is a fascinating, multicultural city and offers endless things to discover. The structure and timetable of the study program also provide enough opportunities to discover all sides of the city.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

The course is diverse and offers deep insights into business psychology. Classic topics such as selection and assessment are covered, as well as very recent topics such as diversity in companies. The orientation towards the CIPD, a professional association for HR and people development, is very practical. Upon successful completion of the course, students not only receive a Master of Science degree, but also become Certified Business Psychologists (CBP).

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

All lecturers have provided great support and always been available in case of any questions. The academic support is also very good. There are lots of offers regarding academic writing or career advice to enhance employability.

Are there any stand-out features associated with your course?

Yes, the Association for Business Psychology.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

As a course representative, it was a great experience for me to represent the interests of classmates and act as a link between the faculty and students. Moreover, I joined the cheerleading club. I had never done cheerleading before. It was a great experience to try it out and meet new people outside my course at the same time.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

If you are a student from abroad and are considering coming to study in the UK, definitely do it! At the beginning, I was also worried that the studies would be too hard, I would have problems with the language and so on. The university offers great support, and you grow with your challenges. Also, the university is very international, so you get to know a lot of people from other nations.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The location of the university and the wide range of support services.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

The most surprising aspect for me was that we do not sit exams but write essays and reports instead at the end of the semester, and the fact that Alexander Fleming went to the University of Westminster.
