Business and Organizational Psychology MSc
After completing my Undergraduate course in Marketing, I was very happy with choice, so for my Postgraduate degree I decided to challenge myself in a new pathway and having an interest in psychology, I realised that studying Business and Organisational Psychology MSc was the best fit for me!
Why did you choose the University of Westminster?
I have always known about the University of Westminster since my childhood years and have walked past the campuses across London. Since then, this university has been a goal and an option for my future education. Once I decided on the subject I wanted to focus and complete my research on, I realised the University of Westminster was the best fit with me.
How has your experience been studying in London?
London is a very fast-paced city for newcomers. When I first moved to London, I was mesmerised by how busy, alive, and sometimes even chaotic this city can be. It can be very difficult and draining for some individuals to adapt to. On the other hand, love the challenges and limitless opportunities this city provides. Living in London feels like living in the economic and development centre of the world. My goal is to learn everything London can teach me for the time I am living in this city.
What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, which is my favourite area of business. After completing my Undergraduate course, I was very happy with all my modules and saw a significant growth of interest and knowledge in marketing, so for my Postgraduate degree, I decided to challenge myself in a new pathway with an interest in psychology and I decided to complete my Master's degree at the University of Westminster, studying Business and Organisational Psychology MSc. I find it very challenging, however, that's also why I am very happy about my current studies.
How have you found academic support as part of your studies?
I have completed many different modules in my course, which means having many different lecturers and seminar leaders. Across my four years at the University of Westminster, I have never experienced any major issues with any academic members of the university. I was struggling with a number of matters during the Covid lockdown and asked for help from the university. My tutor and other academic support staff have helped me thoroughly and efficiently. The university has provided advises on my issues of all aspects, not only academic ones.
Are there any stand-out facilities at Westminster?
The university provides a great number of facilities, such as gym facilities, online and physical libraries, data-base sources and many more. What I used the most are computer rooms and silent study areas at the library, as well as online data-base sources. I find them the most useful, as I enjoy market research, not only for my assignments but also for personal interest.
Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service
The Careers and Employability Service was very helpful for teaching skills that will have a significant difference to make students feel and act professional. I have improved my CV, interview and job research skills after completing a set of activities. I believe these activities are essential to build a foundation for a professional career in the future.
Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course
There are many opportunities to find a group you can identify yourself with and join them. I was involved in number of societies such as different countries' and cultures' societies. This is one of my favourite parts of university life, as you can find many new friends who have similar interests as you. You can even create new sports clubs and societies if you can find other members, which allows you to release your imagination and common interests without any limits.
What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?
Westminster has a very welcoming environment. It means you will always be welcome in any crowd, society and class regardless of your ethnicity, nationality, ability or age. It teaches us how to be confident and professional with your future career and builds a community within the students. Not only your classmates but also your tutors and teachers are friendly, helpful and kind. Westminster also provides so many services for students who need help with their mental health and wellbeing.

The University of Westminster has a very diverse student group, which will help students coming from every background feel comfortable to communicate and ask questions. I never felt scared or hesitated to make mistakes or ask questions in front of my classmates or teachers. This allowed me to learn everything at my pace and have a great student experience.
