International Marketing BA – 2025

The University offers more than just education; you become like one big family.

Why did you choose the University of Westminster?

I chose the University of Westminster because my sister studied here and always spoke highly of her experience. Her positive journey inspired me to follow in her footsteps and join the same supportive and diverse community.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I'm studying International Marketing and enjoyed exploring how global markets work and how brands connect with different audiences. The programme combines both creative and strategic thinking, which has helped me understand everything from consumer behaviour to digital marketing. I’ve also found it fascinating to learn how culture plays a key role in shaping marketing strategies and how brands can leverage this in order to thrive internationally.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic support at the University of Westminster has been nothing short of amazing. My lecturers are always willing to help, whether it’s during office hours, after class, or even online. They go above and beyond to make sure we understand the material presented in class. I’ve been in situations where I may not have understood sections, and they’ll always take the time to explain patience and care.

Are there any stand-out facilities associated with your course?

The lecture halls and learning spaces at the Marylebone campus, where my courses are held are most definitely a standout feature. The facilities are all modern, well-equipped with the latest technology, and generally create a great environment for studying.

Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service?

I’ve used the Careers and Employability Service frequently and consider it as being a key part of my development. The dedicated team offers tailored advice on CVs, cover letters, and interview preparation, which has helped me feel more confident about entering the job market once I graduate. I’ve also had opportunities to attend events with guest speakers from big names like Goldman Sachs, which gave me real-world insights into what employers look for.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

One of the highlights of my time at the University of Westminster was a trip to Barcelona, which strengthened my connection with fellow classmates and offered the opportunity to create long-lasting memories whilst at university. I’ve also participated in multiple events hosted by the Albanian Society, which made me feel more connected to my culture all while meeting new people.

Most recently, I’m also a part of the Westminster Chess Society, where I’ve enjoyed both casual games and competitive matches; it’s a great way to relax and challenge myself outside of the world of academia.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

I would suggest taking the opportunity and choose the University of Westminster. It’s truly something special. The University offers more than just education; you become like one big family. You’ll have the opportunity to meet amazing people, grow in so many ways, and create memories that will stay with you for life.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

One of the best parts is being taught by amazing and highly qualified lecturers who challenge you with real-life assignments and industry-relevant problems. I can confidently say that it has prepared me for the working world. Plus, the opportunity to study in the heart of London is unbelievable, there’s so much to experience both personally and professionally.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

The most surprising part was how quickly it started to feel like home. I didn’t expect to build such strong friendships and feel so supported by both my lecturers and fellow students. The sense of community, even in such a big city, truly made my experience special.
