There is just something about the university's culture and community that makes it incredibly welcoming and supportive, which I believe has to do with a combination of factors, such as the friendly and approachable lecturers, diverse and inclusive student body, and the excellent resources and support services available. I am grateful for the unexpected feeling of being at home that I experienced during my time at Westminster.

I chose the University of Westminster for several reasons, all of which contributed to an enriching and fulfilling academic experience. Firstly, I wanted to study for an MBA, and the University of Westminster offered a comprehensive and practical curriculum that was tailored to the demands of the business world. Moreover, the Marylebone campus is located in the heart of London, which meant that I had access to a wealth of networking opportunities and a vibrant business community.

Overall, my experience studying in London has been truly lovely, and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to be part of such an amazing academic and cultural community.

What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my MBA course at the University of Westminster, as it has provided me with a comprehensive and practical understanding of business management. One aspect of the course that I particularly appreciated was the format of the classes, which were held in a comfortable and professional boardroom environment. This not only helped to create a conducive learning environment but also boosted my confidence as we had numerous discussions and presentations in a setting that mirrored real-world boardroom meetings.

How have you found academic support as part of your studies?

The academic and lecturer support at the University of Westminster has been exceptional, and I have always felt that my academic needs have been well-catered for. The lecturers are not only knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields, but they are also approachable and friendly, making it easy for students to feel comfortable around them. I have found that they go above and beyond to ensure that students have the support they need to excel in their studies. They are always willing to answer questions, provide guidance and feedback, and offer additional resources to help students achieve their academic goals.

Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service

While I have not yet used the University Careers and Employability Service, I look forward to enrolling in their mentoring program after graduation. The program provides support and guidance to students as they transition from academia to the professional world, and this is an invaluable resource for any student. It is reassuring to know that even after my studies are completed, I will still have access to support and mentorship as I embark on my career path. I am excited about the prospect of connecting with experienced professionals who can provide me with insights and guidance as I navigate the job market.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

One of the most memorable experiences was a course-related trip to Edinburgh, which was a fantastic opportunity to explore a new city, learn about Scottish culture and history, and bond with my classmates. The trip was carefully designed to complement our coursework and provided us with a valuable opportunity to apply our learning in a real-world context.

What would your advice be to someone considering studying at Westminster?

My advice: embrace the experience fully. It is essential to put in the effort to keep up with the coursework and try to stay on top of things from the outset. This will allow you to make the most of the resources and opportunities available and to develop a deep understanding of the subject matter. It is also important to avoid leaving things until the last minute, as this can cause unnecessary stress and potentially impact the quality of your work. Additionally, I would encourage prospective students to get involved in extracurricular activities and take advantage of the many resources and support services available on campus, including the Careers and Employability Service.

What's the best aspect of being a University of Westminster student?

The best aspect of being a University of Westminster student is the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share similar passions and interests. The sense of community and connection that comes with being a University of Westminster student is truly invaluable and makes the university experience all the more enriching.

What was the most surprising or unexpected aspect of your Westminster experience?

The most surprising and unexpected aspect of my experience at the University of Westminster was how much it felt like home.
